Pros: A huge space near the freeway, ample room for more than one camper. Awesome views of the landscape and river. Nearby Valley of Gods and Goosenecks State Park. A good place to rest for a night or two.

  • Willow Springs BLM

    Location: Moab

    BLM: Willow Springs

    Cost: Free/14 days

Best time to visit: Spring and fall

Must see places: Arches, Canyonlands, Dead Horse Point State Park

Pros: 10 miles north of town for the tourist areas, shopping, and laundromat. Downtown Moab has an electric vibe, lots of people and places to visit. Many hiking and offroading trails available. Scenic area with the La Sal Mountains south of the camping area, and plenty of mountains around. Arches Park is close and seasonally busy. Try Canyonlands or Dead Horse Point State Park to visit, take a scenic drive or a hike.

Cons: Terribly busy and can be congested with traffic. With only 1 laundromat in town, waiting might incur. Closet water and dump are on the either side of town, a Maverick gas station, which can be crowded. Try the feed store across the street for $5. Even though Maverick is free, if you do not have time to wait, try the feed store.
