Life Happens!

Y’all are probably wondering why I am showing my feet and a little leg as I am introducing myself while paddleboarding in a lake of water, surrounded by the absolutely amazing Rockies. While I love to paddleboard, mostly in calm water, sitting or kneeling down as my balance stinks for standing up on a board, there is a purpose for this new page on my site and even my life.

I am Lori, so good to meet you, possibly another kindred spirit with much to say and even to write about important things in our daily lives. I LOVE to write, write about things I see, hear, feel, taste and smell (yep, smell!), what is going on in the world around me, whether I am traveling or just stationary. And of this writing, I am stationary! But it is not just about me, but about you: like who you are, what you are doing when you decide to read this, what you like to do and how we can come together as travelers, a faith to share and a zest for life. So this will be a short introduction of me, but I hope to have some feedback on what things are of interest to you (did you read the above?).

Not only do I LOVE to write, I am a traveler, in a RV that is, love to hike and take WAY too many photos (but don’t we live in a beautiful world?), drive on easy dirt trails (again, we live in a beautiful world and don’t want to miss it if flying down the road), photographer (that is my passion, my fruit, what helps me to stay in recreational areas, but not my whole life) and most importantly married to the man of my dreams for almost 30 years. How time flies!

Some things I will write about are real life, real choices, no matter how bad or ugly it gets, but I won’t cuss here! Life events are not always fun, like when a vehicle breaks down, or you cannot pay a bill, or figuring where to travel to next and what safe road to take. Yep, been there and done that. But there will be good things, like something amazing I saw, even a flower blooming, a dramatic sunset or a dinner date.

So I hope you will check back with me for some “short musings,” and most of them will be short and sweet, just a short event in the day of the life!
